Year 4A

Pancake Day

We enjoyed celebrating Shrove Tuesday in class this week by making eating pancakes. They were delicious!

Box Models

As part of our topic on the Normans, the children have been making models of castles using junk materials.

Robin Hood Archery Day

The children had a great time trying out their archery skills!

On Thursday 3rd December, the Year 3 and 4 children in school had a Celt Day.  The children and adults looked amazing in their outfits and everyone enjoyed a visit from Boudicca!
On Friday 6th November our class made Guys. We used old clothes, newspapers and lots of teamwork to create them! We also learned about the story of Guy Fawkes and made some beautiful firework art using pastels.

Our topic about India is drawing to a close.

This week we enjoyed tasting  different foods from India such as mango, lassi which is a fruity yogurt drink, pakoras and traditional sweets called burfi.  The children showed a very positive attitude, and many of them took a risk as they tasted many  foods that were new to them.

We have been particularly proud of the written work produced so far this year.

Our class have already published three excellent class books!

This week, we have been writing concrete poems around the theme of India.

We would love it if you popped in to read some of our fantastic work!
