Year 6B

Welcome to our class page.

We will try to keep you up to date with things we are doing in school by regularly adding photos to this page.

Homework will be set on a Friday. It will usually be a piece of grammar work plus a piece of maths work. They will both support the learning we have done in school that week. We differentiate the homework so that it matches the needs of your child. Homework needs to be handed in by Wednesday of the following wee.

Spellings are given out on a Wednesday and will be tested the following week. The sheet needs to be completed and handed back in. We are aiming for all children to be learning the year 6 spellings. If your child is find them difficult then just learn a few please.

Times tables

Times tables are tested on a Thursday. Your child will be aware of which tables they need to practise. They all have log-in details for Times Tables Rock Stars. I would also recommend a game called Hit the Button on the Topmarks website.

It is still essential that Y6 children read regularly at home. This builds their reading stamina and is necessary to help support them in the Y6 reading SATs paper.

Wednesday 9th January

We have all set ourselves new reading targets. Our targets are based on reading at home. Some of us are aiming to read once a week at home...some of us are aiming to read 5 times!

Reading - we are loving our reading in 6B
