Today, we have finished out whole school art project with Jordanna. We are so pleased with the final result.
Each child has created a model using silk clay. These have then be glued onto a piece of art work created by Jordanna.
We can't wait to put it on display in school.
Thank you, Jordanna. ❤️
This week we have been focusing on Remembrance day.
The children have looked at the work of Jacqueline Hurley and created a display inspired by her work.
Today, we have had a Remembrance assembly and a 2 minutes silence at 11am.
The children have also enjoyed a Remembrance themed lunch.
Liam, from Excel Martial Arts, joined us in assembly today to launch next week's anti-bullying week. He spoke to the children about confidence and ways to handle bullying.
To start Anti-bullying week, we are going to wear odd socks on Monday 13th November. On Wednesday, each class will take part in a Anti-bullying workshop with Derbyshire Police.
Today, we have said good bye and good luck to Mr Turner and Mrs Gregg. As you all know, Mr Turner is starting his retirement and Mrs Gregg is relocating to Scotland to start a new adventure.
We wish them both all the best and a warm Killamarsh goodbye. Thank you for all your hard work.
Thank you for everyone who donated for the shoebox appeal. They have been collected and will be happily received by a child this Christmas,
Thanks
Today, we had a visit from PC Graham and PCSO Stevenson from Derbyshire police. They talked to the children about Halloween, Bonfire and Anti-social behaviour. One lucky child from each class was selected to take home a goody bag.
Thank you PC Graham and PCSO Stevenson we really enjoyed your visit and learnt a lot.

The children have had a fantastic transition day. As part of the day, every class read The Dot by Peter H Reynolds. All pupils and staff have created their own dots.
