A huge congratulations goes to all the children who took part in these years Christmas Production 'Hoodwinked'. We very impressed with the acting and singing skills. A big thank you goes to Miss Barker and Miss Worstenholme. Well done!

Thank you to all the children and adults who donated to the Children's Society Christingle Appeal. We raised £103.13! Thank you for Making the Ethical Decision to donate! It is great to see this enterprise skill in action.

Thankyou to all the children in our School Choir who sang for the residents of Nethermore Care Home. Once again our choir have represented our school fantastically. Also a bit thank you goes to Miss Barker

Unfortunately due to other commitments we will not be able to run an enterprise event next week (as advertised on previous newsletter). Because of this we would also like to change the dates for Work Shares so that it gives you a chance to come and see your children learning sooner. A leaflet about this will be given out about these at the parents evening (and sent to parents unable to attend) and they will take place in the week commencing 17th November.

If you haven’t already please could you donate any unwanted change for children to place in the Candle collection tubs. This money will be given to the Children’s Society who do great work to support vulnerable children. www.childrenssociety.org.uk. Sorry but this Friday’s service in school is for pupils only. This is because we have to sit children much further apart so we can light Christingle candles safely and consequently don’t have the room for parents. (We’ll look at other options next year; e.g. running 2 services, to allow parents to attend.)

It would be great if children can wear Novelty Jumpers for the day and will add to the fun of their Christmas dinner at lunch time. There will be a dress rehearsal of the performance in the afternoon and then the main evening performance will be at 6:30pm.

Don’t forget it’s our Christmas Fayre on the last day of term (Fri 19th Dec). You can collect your children from 2:30pm and take them around the fayre to enjoy the festive fun! Donations of Raffle Prizes, Bottled drinks, Tombola Prizes and bought or home-made Cakes/mince pies would be greatly appreciated! Please can your child fill their decorated Christmas bag with a gift too! As usual children can dress in non-uniform for 50p. Thank you!

Please put this date in your diary as your children will be running an event to introduce you to the Big 13 skills that they use to get ready for a successful life! It will be fun and you will be very proud of your children’s developing skills!
