    Liam, from Excel, returned today for another assembly. This assembly was about bullying and was a great way to finish our Anti-bullying week last week. He reminded children of these year's slogan - All Different, All Equal.
  • Celt and Britain since 1948

    Our children looked amazing today in their Celt or Britain since 1948 costumes. Thankyou so much for the effort you all put it. We carried out a range of activites during the day and really brought these two periods of history to life.

    Tempus Fugit Company have sent an apology for double booking the event and we are currently rescheduling. We will let you know the new date as soon as possible.

  • Operation Christmas Child - Shoebox Appeal

    Thank you all of your donations to the Shoebox appeal. What a great way toe demonstrate the Enterprise Skill of MAKING ETHICAL DECISIONS. Our school made 38 shoeboxes.

    Thanks to all the children and adults that came to our first Bedtime Read. It was a lovely way to share our favourite books and celebrate reading. We loved your POSITIVE ATTITUDE to reading. Watch this space for the next Reading event.

    We have been alerted to an attempted abduction of a student of Eckington Secondary School yesterday at 3.45pm in Halfway. The car involved was a silver Mercedes. South Yorkshire Police are aware of this.

  • NSPCC Assembly

    Today we were joined by Gill and Margaret from the NSPCC. With the help of their mascot, Buddy,  we learnt about 'Speak Out, Stay Safe'. We discussed trusted adults children could speak to and learnt about Childline.

  • Anti-bullying Week - 13-17th November

    Anit-bullying week will be held between the 13th - 17th of November. On Monday, we are asking children to come to school wearing odd socks to support this year's theme of Promoting difference and Equality.

  • Guy Fawkes Enterprise Event

    We really enjoyed making Guys as part of our Enterprise Event. It was a great way to demonstrate TEAMWORK, CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION and EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION. We also looked at the history behind Bonfire night and the British Value of Equality and Democracy.

     

    We raised an incredible £81.43 towards the School Crossing Patrol. 

     

    Thanks to everyone who donated newspapers and clothing and Mrs Bright for taking most of our guys.

     

    A big thank you also goes to everyone who cam and donated a 'penny' for the guy. All money raised will go to the School Crossing Patrol.
