Term 3

 

This term our topic is 'Can you walk like an Egyptian?'

In History, we will be learning about the Ancient Egyptians.

 

In English, we are reading The Egyptian Cinderella and Cinderboy. We will write our own Cinderella traditional tales and create instructions about how to make a mummy.

 

 

In Maths, we will be looking at Multiplication and division.

 

In Science, our scientist study will be Thomas Edison and we will be learning about light and shadow. 

 

In Design Technology, we will be making death masks and in Art, we will be drawing Egyptian profile pictures.

 

Our P.E. lessons will be swimming on Thursday afternoons.

 

Our R.E. topic is 'Why do people pray?' and our RSHE/Jigsaw topic is 'Dreams and Goals'. In Computing, we will be coding.

We printed a photo of our profile and used our art and design skills to transform us into Egyptian pharaohs.

Cinderboy Playscript

We worked in groups to plan and write our own play script for Cinderboy. Each group wrote a different scene.

 

Children's Mental Health Week

We have looked at Andy J Pizza's Invisible Things piece of art. We have compared this to Roger Hargreaves and his Mr Men characters. We have taken invisible emotions and created characters.

 

We have been reading The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse. The children have completed colouring pages linked to pages from the books.
