The Victorians
In history this term, we are learning about the life of people during the Victorian times. We will also look at Queen Victoria and how she influenced our life today.
In English we are going to be reading an adaptation of 'Oliver Twist' by Charles Dickens. We are going to be using our inference and retrieval skills to gain
a deep under
standing of the plot and characters in our reading lessons. In our writing, we will be planning and creating our own information texts about Victorian education.
We are going to be using Vincent
Van Gogh as inspiration this term.
We will be looking at his famous pieces of art and creating our own
art work using thick brushstrokes focusing on light and colour.
