This term our topic is 'What did the Romans leave behind?'
In History, we will be learning all about the Romans and how they changed Britain.
In English, we are reading Escape from Pompeii by Christina Balit. We will write a dilemma story, a Volcano explanation text and Volcano concrete poem.
In Maths, we will be finish looking at multiplication and division. We will then look at fractions and decimals.
In Science, we will be continuing our work on light and shadows.
In Art, we will be creating our own mosaics using a variety of media. In DT Food Technology, we will be designing, creating and evaluating pizzas.
Our R.E. topic is 'What do people believe about God?' and our PSHE topic is 'Healthy Me'. In Computing, we will be learning about animation.
We have had a busy term already!
We have been visited by a past pupil and her colleagues from Sheffield Hallam University who are training as child nurses and are taking part in a community project to promote healthy lifestyles.
We learnt about the role of a children's nurse, the use of ABCDE to check a casualty and how to put someone into the recovery position.
