  • Y3A and Y4D Taste of India Day

    We have had a fantastic day experiencing the culture of India. The children have produced silk prints, made onion bhajis, learnt about different spices, listened to a variety of music, a themed Indian lunch and a range of art activities including mehndi and rangoli patterns. Thanks to everyone who made this day possible.

  • Africa Curriculum Day

  • Art is Llamazing

    We have finally completed our 'Art is Llamazing' project. Each class selected a different artist to study and then decorated a llama inspired by their artist.

  • Art and Computing Ambassadors

    Today, we have interviewed candidates for Art and Computing Ambassadors. Miss Davis and Mrs Nunnington were extremely impressed with every child. 

     

    It was a difficult decision but 10 Art Ambassadors and 4 Computing Ambassadors were selected. All other applicants agreed to act as Relief Ambassadors for their chosen role.

     

    A big well done to all those who applied and congratulations to the successful applicants.

    From September 2019 we will be using e-consent for the Flu programme.  This year we are vaccinating children in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6.

     

    Please click https://www.derbyshireandcityimms.co.uk/ and click on the Seasonal Flu icon to complete the consent form, the option to consent or decline the vaccination is at the end of the questionnaire so please complete even if you do not want your child to have the vaccination.

  • Plastic Bottle Top Art

    As part of their 'What on Earth?' Topic, Y3A and Y3/4D looked at the problem of single use plastic. They have created a giant mural using plastic bottle tops. #EveryChildIsAnArtist

  • Y3 & Y3/4 Recycling artwork

    In the Summer (Term 6) Y3 and Y3/4 will be studying the Geography topic ‘What on Earth?’. They will be learning about a wide range of environmental issues and looking at Making Ethical Decisions. As part of this topic, they would like to carry out an Enterprise project to create some artwork by recycling/reusing plastic bottle tops. They need a variety of different colours and sizes of plastic bottle tops.
