Autumn term

Today we looked at a real animal heart. We talked about its function and structure. Then we cut the heart open to see the different parts inside. We could see the aorta and vena cava and could spot lots of thin blood vessels.

in Science today, We used a recipe to create a representation of blood. Once settled, we could see the layers of blood, in which the heaviest component sank to the bottom (red blood cells) and the lightest sat on the top (plasma.) We then researched the function on each of the four components of blood.
